STEP ONE:

Draw a Wall for each external Composite type used in your project.

Make sure that these walls are drawn on a unique and isolated layer, we used
“- XA – Walls”, with a unique intersection group number as seen to the left, we used number “11”.

This unique intersection group number needs to be unique in all Layer Combinations.

STEP TWO:

In each walls settings dialog box, under Listing and Labeling, select or tic the “Label Wall” checkbox and hit “OK”

STEP THREE: 

Make sure you have selected the “XA Wall Label” as seen to the left by selecting the newly placed Labels and opening the Label Selection Setting dialog box.

Under “Content and Preview” select “XA Wall Label”.

STEP FOUR: 

Once you have selected the correct Label as per STEP 3, under “Smart-XA Wall Calculator” drop down menu, select and complete all requirements where necessary.

STEP FIVE: 

Once you have completed STEP 4, hit “OK” to see if you comply.

If you comply, proceed to the SANS 10400 External Walls Layout in the Navigator – Layout Book for publishing.

If you do not comply, move to STEP 6 above.

STEP SIX: 

If you are not achieving compliance, please consider the following, make sure that the building materials you have used all have the correct data in the Physical Properties section, of the Tags and Categories tab, of the Building Materials settings dialog box.

It is important to note that this information is user defined and it is the responsibility of the user to get all the correct material specific information from the manufacturer.
